A Shopping Day at Gurney

Went shopping at Gurney yesterday with my sister. I wasn’t prepare for this but there were sales! I just can’t resist it. Initially I said I have nothing to buy but end up I bought the most. This wasn’t the first time though. Haha.. This is what happened when I go shopping, cant’t stop spending. Now I’m seriously broke, no more vacation for me. =.=

Rm100 for a stamp, get 5 to redeem Rm50 rebate. But I don’t think I’ll spend that much at Converse again. But if you guys (who I always meet) are buying anything at Converse which cost above Rm100, remember to tell me so that I can collect the stamps. hehe..^^

By the way, I’ve also watched Toy Story 3. Didn’t expect it to be so nice. There were many new characters in the movie, meet also Spanish Buzz..LOL! It was interesting, funny, suspenseful and the ending was really touching… “Woody never gives up and always be there for you.” I love Toy Story 3!! Well done PIXAR! :D

Shopping is always like dream comes true but after shopping is the beginning of the nightmare – life is helpless without money. Lol

Once A Scout

I have not been to camping for a long time, what more a campfire. I didn’t get to join my friends to camp at Gunung Jerai two weeks ago, I know they had lots of fun and that’s why I took the opportunity to visit my high school junior’s Test and Training Camp at Kuala Sala, as a rover.

Test and training camp is all about briefings and examinations in order to get a higher badge besides learning more scouting skills and improve the knowledge. The school is encouraging students to achieve King Scout now and I would like to see them graduate as King Scouts in the future. =) I am now too old for that, the highest badge I got was ‘Maju’ only. (so paise) We went to the camp on the second day and overnight there. I didn’t plan to overnight at first but I wanted to stay longer then just because I miss camping, I miss that kind of feel!    

On the third night, we joined the campfire too! Carnival camp at Harvard Golf Club was always my favourite camp! It really recalled me a lot of my memories – sat beside the fire to make myself warm while guarding the night, it was so freaking cold!; making roti lilit, onion egg, potato egg for backwoods; dance and sang around the campfire (we were always so joyful); grouping to go to the toilet and we were so scared because it was so dark outside on the mountain; one of our member sleep-walking and marched!(lmao); played the funniest game – chocolate milk chocolate (translate directly from manderin); ………etc - they were all bitter sweet.

During our special training camp while I was in Form 3, there were 6 of us in my batch and we were tied up our feet together and were asked to walk down from our campsite to the toilet to wash the plates, that was also at Gunung Jerai. Come to think of it, we really came through a lot together in that 5 years! Those suffering moments and hard times, we held our hands and overcame it! We were there together for each other, we never give up. We were the survivors. That is how we were called the 6 Mighties! :D

We were taught to be unite, trained to be tough and survive! Discipline is very important to generate a team like us! (Must mention this because I was the discipline master for year 2005/2006, haha)What I’ve learned will never be forgotten. Not only scouting skills and knowledge but also principles to be a good man.

I was proud and I am still proud to say that I am from 53rd Land Scout.

Part 3 Singapore Trip

Buddha Tooth Relic Temple

The most expensive temple! The stage where Buddha’s tooth is placed is made of 1000 tons of gold!

Do you know why we cannot cross over the middle doorway? Well, it’s a long story….

Guest are required to put this on if wear sleeveless or shorts which the length is above knees to show respect.

I was wearing shorts so I had to put this on. Looked like a massage lady nia…=.=

Amitabha.. Singapore still have many devout believers, they have chanting sessions everyday at this temple.

So advanced, they have lifts inside the temple. Buddha tooth is on the forth floor. Photos shooting are allowed only allowed on the ground floor.

During my high school times, people said me and my elder sis looked alike, now my younger sis turn pulak! Proves that, I’m still young! hahaha… (my sis is 5 years younger than me :P)

Haw Par Villa

The villa is constructed by the Haw Par brothers, founder of Tiger Balm. It is open free for public but it’s not as crowded as before now.  It’s free so why not have a walk? Hehe.

We had a bus tour to Singapore Military School too. Singaporean who has reached the age of 18 has to serve the country for two years. The Military School’s square feet are equal to 26 football fields. It’s really big and clean inside, it has provided various facilities for the soldiers too. Hundred times better than our national service. =.=

Jien Herng and Zi Huan are siblings while Zhe Han and Zhe Xin are in a family. They also have a brother who is same age as Zhe Han but they’re not twins! And Zhe Xin is only a year younger than Zhe Han. How geng their mom is…. LOL.  

That’s the end of our trip. Glad to know these few little friends of my trip. :D I was the eldest among them. =.=
