Ice Kacang and Fighting Fish - I miss.

It is not yet one week since I came back home but I feel like a month has past! I feel that this holiday is totally boring and I have nothing to do at home, except online, eat and I sleep the most! Yesterday was the first time I went out with a friend to watch Ice Kacang Puppy Love which I want to talk about today.

This movie is purely a Malaysia's movie acted by Malaysia's artists. It is about the process of growing up of a child and because I am a Malaysian, I feel like the story is closely connected to my childhood. Those things are very familiar - I used to walk a short distance away from my house to buy ice kacang to eat when I was young; I used to own one fighting fish given by my uncle, my house still have a few fighting fishes now which are kept in the same glass bottles as in the movie; After graduated from high school, we went our separate ways to pursue our studies and it is hard to meet up with my old buddies nowadays; Penang, this place sure is well-known not only to all Malaysians. The place which appears in the movie - “姓周桥” which I had been there just a few months ago with my uni friends. And to my surprise, a friend who I've known in UKM - Soon Kien Seng was in that movie! Although he just appears for like 3 seconds but I still able to recognize him! He is on the big screen man, proud of him! :D Despite all this, it appears that there are a lot of issues in the movie - family issues, friends, love, careers..etc, probably every problem that most of us will meet in life. I just have to say that it is so Malaysianized - the languages used, the old style of living, the bond of a family...

In short, it's a quality movie. I would recommend it to my friends especially if you are a Malaysian. We should support Malaysia made products right? ^^ Well, there's no loss if you watch it. Perhaps you'll miss your childhood then..
