Delia Day Spa

I was craving for facial treatment since finals as pimples and blackheads were all over my face! Last Tuesday finally I went for it at Delia Day Spa which is located at Jalan Pegawai. It was only my second time doing facial, the first time was at New York Skin Solution, Mid Valley.

Doing facial at Delia not only has a huge comparison in respect of price to NYSS's but also the services as well. I remember last time me and Carol got a free voucher for NYSS facial treatment and thus we went to have a try. The constructor just perfunctorily gave us a quick cleansed. Later on she kept persuading us to buy the products or purchase their treatment package which cost a few hundreds in order to let us to become a member of NYSS. I think that was a waste of money although I did purchased their products for RM 500. Sigh..

Delia is in Alor Star. Although the people here might not look as pro as those in KL, but I can tell that their services are a lot better than them!

During the treatment, the constructor first cleansed my face with some kind of gel and then with the cleansing soap. After that she put some scrub on my face and steamed it. While she started doing the 'squeezing' work, she 'sembang' with me along way until the whole thing was done! I tried so hard enduring pain and talked to her, I first time felt talking wasn't easy. LOL. Later on, she cleansed my face again and massage it with lava stones. Wow, this part was really amazing. It felt so warmth and comfortable. I want to have it again! Haha... She also put some cucumber gel and massage it with a machine to boost metabolism. The whole thing wasn't complete without putting a mask. Before I was asked to the counter, I was put on some sunblock too.

This treatment costs only RM 49!!! I can't believe for this price, I can get such an awesome treatment! Seriously, it was much much better than the treatment at NYSS.

I also bought their product as I have no fixed cleanser to use now. If they are effective, I might continue using them! These are what I bought:

A honey flavour cleansing soap and a DNA spray.

This soap only costs RM 30 and can last for 6-9months if it only uses for face.
Suitable for all skin types.
So far I felt quite comfortable using it.

DNA spray a.k.a magic repair for sensitive skin, also can be used for all skin types.
It costs RM 46 for this small bottle (30ml).
It says that it can reduce redness and the growth of pimples and blackheads.
I shall see the result after a few while. :)

Moral of the story: The more you pay doesn't not necessarily mean you will get more, instead you might get nothing! In short, a good thing or service is not defined by its price. :D

Thank you for sharing your facial treatment experience. Eventually I am looking for a facial treatment in Alor Setar after just back from oversea to hometown. I followed your step, went to Delia Day Spa and I can said GOOD!
Compared to beauty salon in big town and oversea, they are so friendly and patient. They give good service even the price is so "competitive". I did a full treatment facial named Yogurt Facial. The price was only RM69, included full facial, ampoule, beauty machine, shoulder relaxing massage, eye treatment etc...Honestly said, in KL this facial I have to pay RM200 up. Although the price is low compared to others beauty salon, but I got good result immediately after the facial. My skin looked moist and fairer!!!
One more thing : They do not force or give pressure to me like others salon. They do not push me to sign up a course or buy many product or what what what after the facial.
They served me a cup of tea and end with smelly face.
I even have time chit chat with another customer in counter and she told me she was Delia Day Spa's customer 6 years already!!!
Thank you... for bringing me to Delia Day Spa through your blog.
